EFT tapping – Basic Instructions
1) Pick an issue, and note your starting intensity (0-10):
   
2) “Set up” While tapping continually on the karate chop (KC ) 
 point on the side of your hand, say the following three times, stating your physical or emotional issue as specifically as possible.
   
   “Even though I feel this _______________, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
 
3) Follow the diagram, and tap on each of the points in sequence, approximately 6-8 times each, stating your issue “this neck pain” or “this irritation with my boss.”
  • Eyebrow
  • Side of eye
  • Under eye
  • Under nose
  • Chin
  • Collarbone
  • Under arm
  • Top of head
 
4) Take a deep breath
 
5) Note your ending intensity (0-10): ______.
Keep repeating the above steps until your intensity is down to a 0 or 1.

EFT is used to diffuse the intensity of the negative charge of emotions. It can also be used to encourage positive emotional outcomes. Please make yourself familiar with these points before a session with me.

Possible changes would be:
  - Change your statement to be more specific, reflecting how you are feeling now.

  - You can modify the set-up statement to
       “Even though I still have some of this _______________,     I deeply and completely accept myself.”

  - Modify the reminder phrase as you tap the points
      " Remaining _______________.”

Keep repeating the whole sequence until intensity is 0 or 1.
